Since the beginning of the 21st century, Americans have been obsessed with the idea that if we just get in shape, we will look like the people we want to be. It’s a big idea that is hard to ignore. When it comes to our body, we are constantly talking about how we want to look, how we want to feel, and how we want to move. We are even obsessed with our favorite celebrities.

This obsession with what we look like and how we look is misguided and dangerous. The body is a complex organ that requires maintenance and rejuvenation to work properly. The more we take care of it, the faster it will recover. It is the responsibility of our doctor and personal trainer to ensure that we are taking care of our bodies. The same goes for our diet and fitness regime. The more we exercise, the more our bodies will work and the more we will look lean and toned.
