Our Mid atlantic Milk Bank is a local non-profit that provides healthy, clean, and nutritious food to the community. We operate a milk bank in Toms River, NY.
Mid atlantic milk bank is an urban community that provides food to the residents of the community, as well as the general public. It’s a very small community, but it has a lot to offer and we’re proud to be serving it as our community food bank.
A lot of the residents of Mid atlantic are on public assistance, and so, the food bank is one of the only places they have access to fresh dairy products. A lot of the residents have to leave to go to the outside for fresh milk. The milk is also shipped very, very quickly.
We had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the milk bank, and we’ve been talking about the possibility of our milk being used to make cheese, butter, and other dairy products. She is also a member of the Mid Atlantic Farm Workers Union, so it’s really nice to hear that our milk is being used to make those other things.
I’ve been saying for years that we are moving milk and cheese factories to Mid Atlantic and into the dairy workers’ union, but we are probably going to be doing more than just that. I’m thinking that maybe we will be making cheese, but in a sort of “natural” form, not the industrial cheese where you see all the red markings, and it tastes like the stuff that you get at your local grocery store.
We’re not sure if that’s a good thing or not. But from where I sit, I don’t think it’s a bad thing. So there you go. I think we are going to be making cheese. I just don’t know where yet.
The thing with doing cheese is that there is a lot of information that needs to be put into the process. That’s where the mid atlantic milk bank comes in. It’s a group of dairy workers who live in the area and get together to discuss their lives and share their stories. They are not a bunch of rich women in their late twenties who are suddenly discovering their talents in a new medium. They are not wealthy enough for that.

So she designed a cheese maker machine and gave it to the group of dairy workers. With her encouragement, they created a new cheese making and processing plant and started working together.
Mid Atlantic Milk Banks are community-owned businesses that are run by local businesspeople. They are located on an island in Maryland, and are run by the same people who run the milk. They were created as a way of helping the community make a more efficient use of the milk they produce.
